We have used a program for years called UHAUL to create compressed truck files.  I think that Interex has the program.

I have done this before,years ago, but i cant remember how.  i need to
combine a bunch of files in a TRUCK file, which if i remember correctly
is a combined or compressed fileset.  anyone know what i am refering to?
