I have the same problem, but I'm the only user that dials in on my USR 28,800 so I haven't worried about it. Since it will drop when I yank the phone cord.

Subject: USR Modems

I previously used a Hayes modem attached to a DTC72 modem pOrt and have now replaced it with a US Robotics Courier modem. Everything works fine except for logging off. Previously, when a user logged off of the HP3000, the
modem connection was terminated. Now when a user logs off, it is kept alive
until the remote user hangs up. Any ideas?
