I just received this message from an eager-beaver HP3000-L subscriber:

[... "excited comments about Mac vs. Windows stuff" snipped ...]

>Given the amount of inquiries about the date functionality from our staff,
>I think you should be a bit more specific, in addition to
>describing the date functionality, emphasizing the availability of this
>>functionality from Adager as well as from Robelle, specially after David
>Greer >was kind enough to raise the level of awareness for date
>handling/management.

Just a minute! I cannot speak for Robelle. So, David, could you please
address YOUR part?

Regarding Adager: Any Adager version NEWER than 960830 includes the date
functionality to convert date-oriented data items (and their corresponding
fields) into formats that can support 4-digit years.

To be true to form, these newer Adager versions have a 4-digit year. So,
your Adager banner now says "19960929" (or whatever). These are "PULL"
versions (unless your tape-shipping schedule happened to fall in September
or October). In other words, you will receive your tape according to your
shipping schedule OR you can request your tape and we'll be delighted to
send it to you ahead of schedule.
