 This is a computing mailing list. He didn't post, but linked, to an
IEEE paper.
 Surely there are lots of people here who can see, if not the totality,
at least an idea from the 
 paper of what he's getting at. Quite a lot of it appears to be defining
algorithmic functions. 
 Isn't that something we do for a living?

So you have still not explained why you suggested it is a good thing to
