Any pilot will recognize this as a sure sign of the most fatal disease in
flying, "get-there-itis". It has killed more pilots and passengers than
anything else. Was that press conference worth dying for? Had the engine not
smoothed out, they'd have run a real risk of doing just that.
Of course, Kerry, famous for asking "Do you know who I am?" when people get
in his way (even though they're only doing their jobs, or patiently waiting
their turn, or whatever), wouldn't care about that kind of little detail...
