Clinton never finished second to his opponents as bush did. You are wrong on the recount. It was the Secretary of State that halted the recall process. 3rd I like my rock.

Have you been living under a rock?  It was Algore that didn't want a full
recount of florida, only a select few communities, and since the election a
number of organizations have gone in and recounted all the votes and guess
what - at no time in any recount did Bush every loose the election.  I know
the left doesn't want to hear it, but go ahead and research it for
yourself.  Bush won the Electoral vote, and that is how our system
works.  As a matter of fact he won more of the popular vote than Clinton
did in either of his 2 victories.
