If this drive happens to be LDEV1, the answer is no.  LDEV1 on 960/980 CIO
boxes can not be larger then 2GB,  If it is any other drive you've got a
shot at doing that.  However, the drive modules that you would be adding
are getting hard too find.  You might want to hold on to the extras as hot
spares incase you loose one of the other active modules.

A 960/980 can use a 27251 SCSI SE board  for user storage, you just can't
boot off the scsi (unless you have a BC with very latest firmware).
