OK, everyone, here's a chance to make ourselves heard beyond the
administration on our campus. I know we're all busy this time in the
semester, but I would like to encourage everyone to attend this open forum
with Joe Johnson. Low attendance will give the impression that we have no
problems here that need to be addressed and that he can just accept the
message he's probably getting that we're all just one big happy family.
Given the size of the room they've reserved for this meeting, it's clear to
me that the administration is counting on nobody showing up. If you
attended the forum with the Chancellor a few months ago and felt afterwards
that nothing was going to change in the administration's priorities and
treatment of faculty and staff as a result of the forum, please attend
today. Or if you have any concerns about UTC's place in the UT system and
UT budget, please attend. Maybe Joe Johnson will listen and have the power
to make some positive changes.
Melissa
