The Facilities Inventory Space Survey is now open. You will be receiving informational correspondence from [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> , 423-425-5557. As a reminder, departmental participation is mandatory for federal and state reporting. All information must be  updated and submitted by Wednesday, May 24, 2023.


UTC Facilities Space Survey FY2023
Start Date / Deadline / Online Training / Instructions

The UTC Facilities Space Survey has been loaded into IRIS. Please have the person responsible for your assigned cost center(s) complete the survey in IRIS for any buildings or rooms you occupied during the survey year (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023).  Online training is available via K@TE<https://kate.tennessee.edu/>. Instructions and reference materials are also available on the UTC Annual Space Survey<https://www.utc.edu/finance-and-administration/facilities-planning-and-management/annual-space-survey> web site.

Start Date:

  *   The survey software will be available in IRIS as transaction ZRE_SPACE_SURVEY beginning Monday, April 17.

Deadline:

  *   Your facilities space survey should be completed no later than Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
  *   Your Space Survey Verification form should be turned in no later than Friday, May 26, 2023.

Online Training:
Facilities Survey online training is available on K@te, UT's training and professional development website (https://kate.tennessee.edu<https://kate.tennessee.edu/>). To access this training, use "Search Learning Opportunities", and search for "Facilities Inventory Training". There will be three modules that demonstrate using the IRIS screens to complete the space survey. Leaving the training video open while completing the survey will give you the option to pause the stream as needed.

System-wide instructions and reference materials for the facilities inventory reside on the IRIS website at https://iris.tennessee.edu/iris/real-estate/. The Getting Started<https://iris.tennessee.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/13/2022/03/GETTING-STARTED-updated-for-FY22-3-28-2022.pdf> document is the best starting point for new users, providing directions for accessing the IRIS transactions needed to complete the survey.

  *   Complete Training - Facilities Inventory Space Survey training is available anytime through K@te<https://kate.tennessee.edu/>.
  *   Pull Data Overview - available in IRIS and note any changes you need to make.
  *   Complete the Space Survey - by adding, removing, and editing space data in the survey. Remember to save your changes and mark the Facilities Inventory Space Survey as complete in IRIS.
