This message explains a very brief upcoming survey for all UTC employees that will help us evaluate and fine-tune ongoing Total Organizational Health initiative efforts on our campus. Thank you for reviewing this message and responding to this evaluation when prompted in early November.

All UTC employees will soon be asked to anonymously share a little bit of additional input regarding the ongoing Total Organizational Health initiative. This initiative is applying evidence to improve our personal health, safety, and well-being, and our organization's overall resilience. This additional information will be gathered through a very brief progress check survey requiring about 5 minutes to complete. Because there are so many surveys and requests for information these days, I wanted to provide a few specific details here about why your input is needed on this upcoming progress check:

  1. This survey is for all UTC employees - it is designed to provide information that can be helpful in addressing our shared health, safety, and well-being needs as the people who make UTC possible.
  2. This progress check will be administered two times each year: once in early November and once in early April. Please do your best to share your perspective and voice by responding to this survey during at least one of these administrations.
  3. Unlike other surveys that are managed by external consulting or media organizations, or mandated by the University of Tennessee system, this evaluation is purpose-built and managed in-house by me and other members of the Total Organizational Health task forces to directly support this ongoing initiative.
  4. The data we gather with this progress check are specific to our needs (not to some set of external benchmarks or standards). Specifically, the questions in this brief survey focus on the 10 factors targeted in our guiding Total Organizational Health framework. These data will provide the clearest and closest indication of the extent to which our efforts are working (and if not, what might need to be changed to make them work better).
  5. Because this survey is managed in-house by the team leading the Total Organizational Health initiative, your feedback will be received very quickly.

If you have any questions or concerns about how or why this Total Organizational Health progress check evaluation is used here at UTC, please feel free to reach out to me directly at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. Thank you again for taking time to respond to this survey when you receive the invitation to do so (early November).

Sincerely,
Chris Cunningham
