Larry,
What version of MPE are you running at your HP3000?
This important to know because MPE 5.5 does not use JINETD as the ftp
monitor, while MPE 6.0 does.
If you are running MPE 6.0 look for INETDSEC.NET, if it exists look if it
has a line ftp deny ###.###.###.###.### the # respresent numbers of
ip-addresses that are not allowed to ftp (0.0.0.0 means everyone on the
internet is denied access to the ftp service).
lines like ftp allow ###.###.###.### overrule the deny for surtain
ip-addresses or ip-nets.
