Greetings.

Does anyone know of a utility or command that will either reserve
memory, or even better, allocate a defined amount of memory for a single
process or session?

I need such a beast to prove that a response problem caused by the
closure of long-mapped files could be alleviated somewhat by restricting
the amount of memory available for the files in the first place.

All help greatly appreciated.

Regards

Neil Harvey
