I was bringing up our old 927LX and one of the disc drives (the only drive in an HP6000 disk drive enclosure) won't mount. The last time I used the machine, it was working fine. It gives a message during boot up that it won't mount and earlier, as it lists the IO devices, the device is NOT listed as a working device. I can do a showdev 2 and it shows up. Obviously getting lots of error messages because part of the system volume set is missing.

Is there anything I can do, or is it really dead? I still have HP hardware coverage on that computer at this point, put the HP6000 enclosure or anything inside it, hasn't been covered by HP for some time (like November 2001 I think).

If it has failed, I am glad it waited until after I moved to the A400/110. Whew!!!!
