I just read a article on InformationWeek about Chrome running in a "sandbox." I wondered how similar a "sandbox" is to the HP3000 "stack." Seems like on the HP3000 you never do anything outside your process stack.

So, what's next: separation of code and data into separate "sandboxes?"

Bruce.

Subject: OT: Chrome wow! (6)

I tried Chrome this morning.

There's no doubt that it seems to render faster than IE possibly than
Firefox too. It has some nice features, namely the history thumbnails and
recent bookmarks but I have had problems with it.

It seems to be lacking some basic Javascript support such that it doesn't
populate dropdown lists populated in Javascript. Also there seem to be some
Justification problems, also with Javascript document.writes.

Also, I was unable to get onto my webmail through Chrome..it kept telling
me the session had ended.

That's just for starters....but that's enough to make it pretty limited for
my uses.

I would be interested to hear of any other limitations.

Cheers,

John Dunlop
