And you may be certain that it cost them royally! When I was at a client a
couple of years back, they were in the midst of Y2K preparation, and had an
edict from the Visa traffic handler, that non compliant machines would get
dinged several thousand dollars per invalid transaction. That's an incentive
( or should that be an indollarive!)
