I have used Reflection on VPN, and have not had any problems with
file transfers. It sounds like your network admin has only opened the
telnet port, Off hand I do not know what ports Reflection uses for its
file transfers. Would FTP work and does the work at home person have
Reflection FTP? That could be another alternative.

Subject
[HP3000-L] Reflections and the VPN

We recently hooked up a user who works from home to a VPN. She Telnet to
a subnet IP address.

Reflections runs fine, but when she tries to download files using
reflection file transfer, the transfer times out and fails.

Do I need to open a specific port in my fire wall? Any help?

Sorry for the non political on topic post.

Thanks
Kent Wallace
