Steve, Do you have the IP address of "albacore"? I get 199.245.155.140, but that is external. You may want to try pinging it internally, or from the same LAN segment as the HP. Next do a TRACERT.PRVXL.TELESUP to that IP address to determine the route.
Finnaly make sure the SMTP service is running on Albacore. Regards, -Craig LalleyEchoTech, Inc.541-812-1155

I've installed JTMAIL and am getting the following error when I try to send
a message.

220 albacore.cuesta.org Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service, Version:
5.0.2195.5329 ready at Tue, 29 Apr 2003 21:02:45 -0700
Socket timed out

Albacore is our SMTP server.

I've tried calling JTMAIL in a command file, from POSIX, from MPE and the
timed out message always appears and no message is sent.

I am running version 1.1.2 of JTMAIL.

Thanks,
Steve Budke
