You are correct... The fix Pivotpoint is telling customers they must have
is to the BASIC command interpreter and compiler. If you have the
GrowthPower source on your system you can download the fix from HP and
re-compile the "broken" programs. You also must be aware that Pivotpoint is
also making program updates. The sales order problem requires an update of
source code from Pivotpoint or an update to the compiled program.

The "BUG" occurs when you have net bookings turned on. If you try to modify
an order that already had a modification before 12/31/99 the program enters
into an infinite loop. The net bookings transactions are time and date
stamped. The program is written to test the date stamp on the new
transaction. The new date stamp must be subsequent to the previous changes
date stamp. The program does not add the century to the date stamp and
therefor figures the date stamp is bad. It gets stuck in this loop forever.

The worst part is that if the user closes their session while they are hung
the program will suck up system resources. Thus other users performance is
hampered until you abort the hung session.

If you are still in need of any GrowthPower assistance please fell free to
give me a call. My organization proves third-party services and support to
the GrowthPower community.
