The nines problem is no problem
The dreaded date 9-9-99 arrived Thursday with no reports of any
major Y2K-like computer trouble.

It was a non-event, like much of us thought.  Now, to call our local paper to
tell them that their headline "One down, one to go" should be "One down, Two To
Go" (February 29, 2000 - which they apparently forgot)...
