One question might be why not use mirrored drives instead of logging - if
your intention is to protect against drive failures. Of course, there are
other reasons to do logging - security, audit, etc. - in which case you
don't have a choice. Just wondering.
 
It would seem that with the growth of session counts on hp3000s, HP will
have to look at these kinds of limits and fix them PDQ. One of the
recent vt patches was for 2000 session.
