I also sent this out under the old heading, so some of you will read
this twice!

I vote we keep the link.

I have been kind of keeping up with the thread and the subject line is
misleading as to what you well find inside. It is a thread talking
basically about old portable computers and old methods of external
communication. I have seen this very subject discussed in length by the
people on this news group. Go ahead, open one, I dare you!

I keep seeing e-mails come through about this should not be here and
that should not be here and this is offensive and that is offensive. I
am getting the impression that several of the members of this mailing
list are closed minded individuals.

There was the Santa Claus thing being offensive because it did not
belong to someone's religion. I can respect that not everyone has the
same beliefs, but instead of getting mad and attacking other people,
tell us how you celebrate the spirit of giving. I would love to know.
I'm not saying this is the place to get into a big discussion about it,
but it sure wouldn't hurt to gain a little education.

Another thing I would like to mention is when somebody sent out a
message wishing people a Happy New Year they again were attacked. I did
not think about whether or not all countries use the same calendar. I am
thankful for the education that other countries have different methods
of tracking time. I will probably look into some more.

I keep hearing people talk about diversity and respecting everyone no
matter what they believe. That requires people talking about their
differences. Telling someone that what they say is offensive and they
should not say it is censorship, not diversification. Telling someone
that because what they believe should not be made public because it does
not go along with what you believe is dictatorship, not diversification.

Remember the next time you are thinking about sending something out to
say that something on the list is offensive because it does not go along
with what you believe, I will most likely find your message as
offensive.

Political Correctness is nothing more than a legal vehicle for people to
attach others. Do you really want to help the lawyers?

The opinions expressed are not necessarily those of my company. They
belong solely to me.
