What I also noticed at the time is that US banknotes had the faces of former
Presidents.

Some of the faces on the money are not former presidents, like Benjamin
Franklin and Alexander Hamilton, but they were influential people at
the time of the American Revolution.

Back in the old days, there were other faces on currency, some presidents,
others not.
