In Quebec (Canada ), the stores are starting to require two pieces of ID
(with photo) when a customer wants to pay with a $100.00 bill. Some
store will not even accept the $100 bills.

A year ago, I wanted to buy a camcorder ($799) with nine $100.00 bills.
The store was Radio Scrap (shack). The employee called his store
manager who called mall security. Security escorted me to the local
bank to determine if the bills were valid. This process took more than
1/2 an hour. Once the validation was complete, security brought me back
to the store where I let them complete the transaction. When it came
time to hand over the money, I refused and walked out on them. WHAT AN
EXPERIENCE. Maybe I should have paid with 900 $1 loonies (a $1 coin)

They lost a sale, a customer, and any respect.

Olav.
