John McCain is as Republican, the last time I checked too but one has to
check often.  Rumors were flying around that Kerry was going to pick McCain
for the VP position.  Sen. Zell Miller, former Democratic Senator from
Georgia, is actually one of the speakers at the Republican convention.
These two men are clearly independent thinkers and would not be good
candidates to speak for either of their respective parties.
