0) As a side note, I have the same problem with wrap on your e-mail as
I did with Michael's

1) Even if the entirety of this list were rabid leftists whose hearts
bled so much that they required constant resupply, this would be a
microscopic portion and completely unrepresentative sample of the set
of "liberals." Viva Che!

2) Sure. I mentioned my support for the war in Iraq. That's a pretty
fundamental difference. Now I think that I was wrong and the cost
was disproportionate compared to our benefit, but hindsight is 20-20
and at our liberal parties (we have those you know:) I always get
uncomfortably silent when folks talk about GWB's move into Iraq. In
this thread, I was also castigating Denys for what I perceived was
misinformation, but read through and you'll see it. I try not to post
just to express my views, but do feel compelled (likely far too often)
to express myself when I believe things are being distorted. In the
thread below, you'll also find a theme consistent with my posting
today-- that I dislike extremists from both sides and have little time
for those whose opinions are formulaic rather than cogent.

(forgive the length of the link and watch for wrap)

3) To preempt the next question, I offer this: the reason I don't
respond to what I often consider Michael's maniacal rants from the
left is that there are plenty of others on this list who succeed at
expressing my concerns with his posts.

By the by, I've never met Wirt (although he seems like an interesting
guy and I share his love of good Mexican food having grown up in
Orange County, CA). I'm not sure he's a "liberal", to be honest, but
he knows far better than either of us.
