Hi -L Gang,
I have a 979/200 on MPE/iX 7.0 pp2 that has suffered three system crashes
in the last 36 hours......No system abort message, just drops on us....
System is configured to dump-to-disk, though for the first time in as long
as I can remember, we are having a problem there as well.....
We get to the point where the message 'Performing Dump to disk' is posted,
then we get:
Invalid TC IVA - Can't read comm area
and the dump then fails.......
I have tried pugring and rebulding the dump files with blddump, though I
just realised I have not tried doing that with the addition of scratching
the volume set and really starting from scratch.....
This is a development server that we have on 5x8 coverage, so I will be
placing a call this morning, but without a dump, am not sure what else can
be done. I have checked the system logfiles searching for errors related
to the 'bus converter' as well as type 111 errors, but no hardware errors
show up......
Any guideance would be appreciated....
Dan
