Jake

I had this problem a while ago - using a 8000. You could print from windows
fine but as soon as you tried to send anything via HP it just would not
print. I tried everything for stopping and restarting the spooler, SHUTQ &
and OPENQ. You could still ping the printer also.

In the I rang HP and spend 4-5 hours on the phone and got nowhere. In the
end out of frustration I switched the printer off and went for a coffee -
came back, switched it on and hey presto - it worked!!

The only thing I could come up with was that there are other applications
that use the same printer and there must have been something resident it the
printers memory.

I wish I could be of more help but at least you are not alone..anyone else
had this problem??

Thanks

To anyone who can help me!
I have a 8100 printer w/8MB and a J4135a serial card. I also have the
printer hooked up to the network. I am using the profile "PR18D96". Now
most of the time it works, but sometimes at night when it is running print
jobs, for some reason it stops sometime during printing a job and it goes
off into never never land, and the only way I can get the printer to work
again is to turn the printer off and on again. Has anyone had the same
thing happen to them???
