Hi All:

I thought this was an HP3000 "blog" allowing us to get info on HP3000 issues
and the like? Why does this increasingly feel like a cross between the
Daily KOS and American Thinker? If I want political news and views I go to
Drudge or MS-NBC.

Why here? Tone it down, will you all?

Thanks.

Mike Serafin

Denys,

I believe that I am spot on.

One party rule.

Bending reality to fit their political dogma.

Party members constantly spouting dogma with out one ounce of thought as to
the meaning.

Wealthy party élite living in splendor while exploiting working class
families.

Sounds like goals and ambitions of the current Republican party leadership
to me.

The current Republican leadership, the old Soviet leadership - what is the
difference? They look and sound alike. Maybe they should change their name
to the Peoples Republican Party.

Where is the party that supported the small community businesses, worked
with the Lions Club, local Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary Club without
demanding $2,000 donation or demanding that you join only a certain country
club?

As for specifics, here goes:

(1) Sounds like FOX to me. :-)

(2) Hmmm, ever hear of what is euphemistically called the "Patriot Act?" I
think everyone should read it.

(3) MSN is right wing, not left. If the same thing happened to Clinton they
would have torn her apart.

(4) So if W gives out the same information in a public speech it is okay,
but if you print it is not?

(5) If this were H. R. Clinton - FOX would have run a month long special and
demand she resign. Hmmm they even called another set of parents in this case
"morons."

(6) So this makes the third time, maybe they can maintain control.

(7) Bill Clinton. For W, partying in Mexico and trips on the royal Saudi
yacht does not count.

(8) See number 7.

(9) We have this little thing called "The Constitution of the United States
of America." Just a little document I took the oath to protect and defend
from all enemies both foreign and domestic. A treaty must have the approval
of the Senate, and senators do have foreign policy experience not to mention
oversight responsibility. Remember, the Senate can fire the President.

(10) I think the party apparatchik forced the choice on McCain. They can't
win without the evangelical base, and wanted to pull the Hillary voter as
well. So, call central casting, we need a young perky evangelical married
female with children that has a modicum of political experience.

(11) Yea, they tuned in, out of morbid curiosity.

(12) I agree there is a double standard. The hypocrisy of the rwMSM is
blatantly apparent. I can only imaging the rwMSM ranting and raving if the
17 year old daughter of a Democratic candidate showed up on stage 5 months
pregnant. Palin's negative coverage has been virtually non-existent by
comparison. As for the Republicans on this case "me thinks they protest too
much."

(13) Polls are out, they appear to be tied. As for the CNN web poll, that is
not a scientific poll and wouldn't mean much.

(14) I predict Palin will be out by mid-October if not earlier.
http://www.consortiumnews.com/2008/090608.html

Oh, both photos show her at 7 months pregnant - one in 1989 and the second
in 2008.
http://www.giftsandfreeadvice.com/free_advice/sarah-palin-old-pregnant-photo
-and-her-2008-pregnant-7-months-photo-lets-get-real/

Oh, what about a pregnant woman having her water break in Dallas, but not
going to the Hospital? Instead, she hopped on an airplane, flew 12 hours
back to Alaska, then drove several more hours to a hospital in her home
town.

http://cityhallblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2008/09/sarah-palin-broken-water
-and-h.html

That is enough to make you say, hmmmm.

When she was mayor in that second largest city in Alaska (a town of 5,000) -
she started with a budget surplus. When she left, they have a $20 million
dollar deficit, and the city is still tied-up in litigation in questionable
construction.

Oh, when the local librarian refused to pull books she didn't like from the
local library, she tried to get her fired.

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/politics/2008163431_palin070.html

There are more questions too. She was backing an Alaska sessions movement,
that begs the question "Which Country First?"

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/9/2/144837/6770/248/583520

Not to mention her ties to the VECO Corporation.

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jrhFOsVwX9jtDyUhy3zKCBVms8tgD92UU8BO0

In just doing a quick qoogle, there is much more on the blogs that isn't fit
to print.

As always, let me paraphrase my favorite quote: "I may disagree with what
you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

Mike, your message underlines your tenuous grasp of history and world
affairs.

(1) Pravda was the official mouthpiece of the left, the Soviets, the
communists; for all intents and purposes your fellow travelers.

(2) The Soviet Union, which epitomized Leftist thought, would never have
allowed its prisoners^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^citizens free access to the Internet and
certainly would not allow them to post news stories which were not vetted by
the central committee. Think of the free Internet as the exact opposite of
Pravda.

(3) Since the demise of the Soviet Union, the MSM has tried to pick up
the slack from Pravda when it comes to the leftist agenda.

(4) As such the New York Times, which is also known as the Grey
ady^H^H^H^HWhore has revealed as many state secrets as it could discover or
make up in an effort to damage the USA

(5) and more recently ran not one, not two, but three front page stories on
Sarah Palin's 17-year old daughter.

(6) That was the same day Anbar province in Iraq was turned over to Iraqi
control, IIRC. They didn't mention that.

(7) Would you please name for me the most recent Governor who became
president and had foreign policy experience beforehand?

(8) Question two, would you please name any senator who became president and
had foreign policy experience beforehand?

(9) About the only people who do have foreign policy experience outside of
the president would a secretary of defense or a secretary of state.
Senators have no foreign policy responsibility or experience, they just
observe.

(10) As for your last question, I have no idea. I am not plugged into the
McCain campaign. From what I understand he had decided quite some time ago,
months really; and she is said to have been thoroughly vetted. I would say
that so far, his choice seems to have been well received by the Republicans
and the public in general;

(11) her speech earlier this week had more people tuned in listening than
The Messiah's speech last week in the temple of Obamapolis. The following
night, McCain's speech became the most watched acceptance speech in history.
I am really impressed by the operational security of the McCain campaign.
Word of his choice did not leak out; he controlled it all.

(12) This is one of the reasons the MSM are in such a feeding frenzy. At any
rate, It's his job to tell you why he chose her, not mine. I'm just having
fun pointing out the double-standard of the MSM and many people here. If
only the MSM would investigate barrac obama half as much as they did
Palin...

(13) You will notice the total absence of poll reports this weekend. Why do
you think that is? I just checked cnn.com. They are not reporting on any
polls, but they have two are their web site; 1 -Sarah Palin (Yes or No),
would she make a good VP? 2- Should we impeach Bush.

(14) So, how long do you think it will be before Biden has to bow out?
