performance. Essentially your McD/Wendys reference is quite
appropriate, we are now victims of "fast-food programming"... drive
through pre-packaged software with questionable if not objectionable
nutritional value (if I may extend the analogy). Technology has become
incredibly "dumbed down". When was the last time you placed a support
call that was redirected overseas? or even local for that matter? SETI
has traditionally been devoted to the search for extraterrestrial
*Intelligence* -- often times (placing a support call in particular) I
think SETI should focus on finding some *terrestrial* intelligence.
