Vplus Run Time App Problem

I suspect I may be missing a file in PUB.SYS but have no idea what it
would be.

Num [7  ] Len [1   ]  Name [B  ] Enh [HI  ]  FType [O]  DType [CHAR]
Initial Value [                             ]

Formsfile screen has the processing logic :

                      *** Processing Specifications ***
MATCH d,b "MUST BE NUMBER BETWEEN 1 AND 8 (OR LEAVE BLANK)"
IF B EQ "0" THEN FAIL "MUST BE NUMBER BETWEEN 1 AND 8 (OR LEAVE BLANK)"
IF B GT "8" THEN FAIL "MUST BE NUMBER BETWEEN 1 AND 8 (OR LEAVE BLANK)"

At run time if I put in values that should cause the above fail messages
to appear in the window at the bottom of the screen, I get stuff like:

VPLUS Edit Error -3 (I entered alpha char)
VPLUS Edit Error -4 (I entered zero)
VPLUS Edit Error -5 (I entered 9)

Anyone got any ideas?
