Uhhhh, pardon my ignorance, but what's the difference?

I'm just starting to work on this and haven't really documented myself. Anybody
have any good pointers to get me familiarized with (La)TeX? (Maybe there's a
"LaTeX for Dummies?" :) Where can I get a good port for HP-UX 9.04 (I've
started to play with it on Linux)? And while we're on it, anybody else know
where can David North get a port for the 3000 (just so we can keep this thread
on track for the 3000 discussion list)?
