Kevin McAdams wanted to know about anyone doing on-line communication
through the HP3000 via SNA.
We use SNAIMF for two applications that are written on the IBM. One
is a time keeping system for payroll purposes, and the other is used
to generate equipment purchase requests. We have had no problems with
terminals directly connected to the 3000 through DTCs. We have had some
problems with terminals locking up that access the 3000 through the
DTC across the broadband. I suspect this has something to do with the
make/quality of modem than with SNAIMF itself. These same terminals
have no problems with our in-house written V/Plus applications (which
is all SNAIMF is, anyway).
Hope this helps!
