It is possible to have ODBC access to your Image/SQL data without
Allbase.  Allbase is required if you use HP's ODBC driver.  I am
currently working through the same issues you described.  I've
learned that several other companies offer ODBC drivers for the HP.
They are InterSolv and M.B.Foster.  You need to contact each of them
to learn how their products differ from HP's, but I will tell you
that I'm leaning towards M.B.Foster.
