OK, some progress, but not enough.
AUTOBOOT.MPEXL.SYS is indeed completely on LDEV 1.
I knew that the file needed to have some special characters at the end
(based on a post I saw on the ITRC). Mine has two LF characters on the end,
not a CR and an LF.
Unfortunately, that file is now permanently opened by PROGEN.PUB.SYS, even
though I've gone back into SYSGEN to "deconfigure" this file using "dauto".
So, I need to get PROGEN to release this file so I can edit it properly,
then set it back up, and lastly do the CSLT and update config to make it
happen.
How do I get PROGEN to release this file?
