If you are not concerned about HP support, another option is the SA-40.

The SA-40 is a fiber/SCSI router with 2 fiber channels (up to 4) with up to 8
scsi paths.

Cost is about the same as 2 A5814A's (with 4 times the performance).

It was written up recently in the HP3000 News wire.
