Confirming that destination file names cannot be specified with
mget.

cd to the concerned directory of IBM and then do
mget * (or whatever the IBM FTP syntax). That should do the trick.

More information like what 'XYZ.NEWPDS.PDS(AA1000X)' is, which
is the "wild card" in that, why it is given in quotes (IBM FTP
syntax, possibly?) what version of FTP/iX is used, etc., might

The filecode associated with WordPerfect (this is from the
Filecode.pub.hpoffice) is/was 1617
