Just reading the more recent issue of Software Design about the upcoming
Perl 6 release.  Look out Java and .Net, there's Yet Another Virtual Machine
on the horizon called Parrot.  The twist is that this VM is supposed to
support other scripting languages (the rumor at one time was that Python was
going to share the Parrot code.)  For more information:
