ad 1.) I am not sure on 10baseT your HP3k will run fine, but on 100baseT
I do not
            know for sure I think not.

ad 2.) The network services have to configured and started.

ad 3.) Reflection 1 can run on a Winnt Workstation without software
running on the
          Winnt Server, if you use Workstation versions of Reflection 1.
If you want to use
           Reflection 1 with Virtual Terminal Manager then you need
NS-Open to be
           installed on the Workstation too.

ad 4.)    The Workstations can only access your HP3k without the Winnt
Server, if you
             allow NT-users to logon to their Workstations, without a
domain vallidation by a
             domain controller. The domain controller is a Winnt Server.
