Thanks Stan, I have scoured all of those on line resources and bought quite
a few at reasonable prices but supply is catching up with demand and these
things are becoming increasingly difficult to find. I threw that post up
there in hopes of an individual on this list having any that they would
personally want to sell.

These drives are primarily for spares that are going into HP 9000 series
VME modular workstations and industrial controllers. The drives that are
used in these systems are the 50 pin SCSI ones and the only two 9GB drives
that have been bench tested for these controllers in the Military's hostile
environment are the ST39173N and ST39216N. There are about 20 different
drives that can actually work in those boxes but I can only use these ones
for this project.

These drives are commonly found in the HP 3000/9x7 & 9x8 servers and the
older
6000 series single ended towers and racks, there also found in 9000/
A180,D2xx,E,F,G,H,I,R,8x7 servers,& HP VME workstations... They fall under
various HP part numbers (A4912A A5544A A5795A A3628A A5806A A5006A) but the
actual number on the Seagate mechanisms is ST39173N or ST39216N. I'm not
really sure how these drives cross reference in the IBM, SUN, DG, or other
manufactures.

Thanks
Jesse
