Well, sometimes the freeware package offers the pid to
send the signal to in some kind of .pid file... Apache,
for example has /APACHE/PUB/logs/httpd.pid as far as I
recall (use SECURE instead of PUB for WebWise)... So ps
might not be a must in some/many cases...
