John,

I am from Chicago, I lived there the first 35years of my life.

Sadly Denys is right, Obama is an experienced crook.

As for respect, the last statesman died years ago.

I suspect the problem began with our founding fathers. They simply did not plan on political parties. They expected people to discuss issues at hand.

As for Sarah Palin, she was the best pick McCain could have made. But she is hardly a conservative. As a mayor of a small town, she started with zero debt, and left with the town owing over 22 million dollars.

That's some qualification for federal office, she left a debt of over $3000 per person. What is amazing is a lot of her projects were funded with federal dollars.

I expect more of the same no matter who is in office. Politicians will continue to pander and steal in plain site.
