In a previous post I had suggested that our system (947 NOVA) seemed to be
running slower on MPEiX 5.0 than on 4.0. Several responses to my post
suggested that I look at my Transient and Permanent free space settings.
Having recently performed an INSTALL I know that they are set at 100%
Transient. Is that bad? Would someone be kind enough to explain these two
settings? Is there an optimum setting for Transient and Permanent? What other
variables should be taken into consideration?

Thanks!
