Actually, it appears to work very nicely on both our 5.5PP4 and PP6
machines.

I think a missing piece here is what version of MPE that Cory is
running.  Because, unfortunately John's solution will not work with
MPE/iX 5.5.  I believe that you will need to be on MPE/iX 6.0.  The
results under MPE 5.5 will likely yield the following results...
