(Where XXXX is the unword that dare not speak its name, but is the universal
language of web pages, and a deprecated format for email messages).

Dave's responder, as I suspected, is sufficiently brain-dead to merely
detect the name of 'XXXX the unword' in a posting, without looking in the
headers to see if any of the posting is actually formatted using 'XXXX the
unword' :-(
So not only can nobody write to him using XXXX the unword as a formatting
agent (which is fair enough), but nobody can write to him *about* 'XXXX the
unword' or any considerations thereof. Somewhat restrictive, I would have
thought.

And even more so now.
And while we're on good Usenet/mail conventions, please also note that it
doesn't snip sigs.
But it'll be an excellent thing when Dave gets it right, and I want one.....

Hmmmm.... looks like it might let xxxx the unword (in lower case) past...
I guess it might bounce a few more messages (like all of them!) back to the
list if it didn't !!!
