Thanks all......I eventually tried to do something that showed 6 or LP could nopt be opened......located the process that had grabbed an unspooled 6, and managed to to start the spooler on it, and away we went.
Disc space was not an issue....

Regards,

John Pitman

John,

Are any of the jobs hanging on I/O, i.e. tape drives, LP etc.

When you do a showjob, look at the JIN and JLIST

Try doing an SHOWDEV and see if any of the devices are being grabbed.

Also, is there enough CPU for the job to abort?

Just some ideas,

-Craig

I have a 928, 7.5, with a bunch of jobs in wait state, and I cant seem to abort them...any suggestions please???

No errors, just not being aborted.

Only 4 running , with a limit of 50, so not clear why they are not starting either

SHOWPROC doesn't show anything chewing cpu, response to commands seems ok.

thanks
Regards,

John Pitman
