The comment about install was not intended to be humorous! I took the
time to read the communicator, and interpreted the above as: you must
have 4.0 or 5.0 to install from the 5.5 tapes.
 
This is an important issue as it is a DRAMATIC departure from past
releases! We have assisted many sites in updating to 5.0. This was via
purchase of new disk drives and installation of 5.0 versus updating.
This is a good way of testing the new version before committing. The old
disks are still attached, so a start norecovery would get you back. It
also can improve performance and save money because new disks have a
warranty period, and are much less expensive to put under maintenance.
 
So is the communicator correct?
