We were using a modem on a DTC port (managed by OpenView DTCMGR) when we were running an 960 and a 950 on 4.0. Worked fine. We don't do it any longer however. We like the modem that HP provides on the machine directly, mainly because it also offers us remote dial in. I don't know about MPE, but HPUX does allow network access for predictive in that it uses email. HP is actually really trying to push this (I had to practically pull teeth to get predictive installed on a V2250 using a modem). Perhaps the MPE email vendors could work with HP to provide this option on the 3000s? ------------------------------- Gary L. We use OpenView DTC Manager for this, but I think host-based DTC management will now allow systems to share DTC's. I'm not sure of the release number which allowed this (5.0??). Listers, please correct me if I'm wrong on this. I'm reasonably certain that PS cannot use a network connection.
