We use JobPak from Nobix. The product works very well and we haven't had
major problems with it. Plus, it is already released as a Y2K compliant
version. We have tested the product during the Dec 31 - Jan 1 turnover and
didn't have any problems at all. We schedule approximately 200 jobs a night
on our productional server and haven't had any major problems.

We did encounter a bug a few months ago, which caused a system abort due to
a bug in the MPE OS. Nobix immediately created a fix for us and dialed in
and fixed it. And this was after hours for Nobix support. At the very
least check them out.

        Subject: Job Scheduler for HP3000

        Hi all,

we are currently using Maestro job scheduler from Tivoli. As we do
not
succeed in getting a correct Y2K release, I try to find competitor
software.
Could you tell me which competitive schedulers should provide at
least the
same functionnalities than Maestro ? What should be your opinion
about them
        ?

Thank you for your help in advance.

        JM
