Faculty: Tired of Spending Time on Grading instead of TEACHING?

Tatiana Allen, Associate Professor of Physics, will present a seminar on
Internet Homework Service on Wednesday, April 21, 2:00 - 3:00 pm in 205
Metro Building. The Internet Homework Service is a free service operated
by University of Texas and designed to handle introductory (including
calculus-based) courses in Physics and Math. The service plans to expand the
system to handle Chemistry courses in the near future. The system allows
the instructor to create assignements that will be submited (by students)
and graded (by U
of Texas computer) on-line. It also has many other features that make it
easier for instructors to manage the coursework. Dr. Allen has been using
the system this semester and will share her experience.
The seminar is sponsored by the Departments of Math and Physics and the
Walker Teaching Resource Center. Please join us in Metro 205, April 21!
