As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I'm all for secure and auditable systems, but everyone involved must keep a level head and keep the ultimate goals in mind. I'm not sure where I first heard this phrase, but it is appropriate: "Work towards the spirit of the rule, not necessarily to the letter of it".
